CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the Charleston Police Department say they are continuing to interview witnesses and analyze videos in connection to assaults that happened in downtown after a private party at the YWCA this past weekend.
CPD officials released a statement Wednesday night saying investigators are also communicating with the Ninth Circuit Solicitors Office to use all available means including subpoena powers for cases of this type.
According to police, this will allow solicitors to interview witnesses under oath who may have been otherwise unwilling to speak with them.
"Additionally, police investigators are collecting and analyzing all videos looking for additional images that may be available," read a statement by Charleston police released on Wednesday."This is important to the investigation as the victims and witnesses were only able to provide limited information due to the spontaneous nature of the event."
Hall was being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center under a total bond of $200,000.
Police investigators are encouraging anyone who the attended the party and observed or videoed any unlawful actions to contact investigators immediately so the individuals involved in this series of crimes can be identified.
Videos can be forwarded anonymously to Crime Stoppers at email@example.com.
Any information related to this case should be directed to Investigator Adam Deming or Justin Kursh at 720-3913 or 720-3914.
