DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of two puppies from the backyard of a home in North Charleston.

According to an incident report, the pit bull puppies were stolen from the backyard of a house along Timberidge Court in the Pepperidge community sometime between 3 to 4pm last Thursday.

Two separate witnesses reported seeing two men enter through an unlocked fence and leave carrying two puppies.

The puppies, named "Tyson" and "Champ" are five months old. One puppy is chocolate brown with white paws, and the other is tan and brown with white spots. The animals are not micro-chipped.

The suspects were seen arriving and leaving in a black Dodge sports car with dark windows and dark rims.

The owner tells Live 5 News that she is fearful the puppies will be used for dog-fighting.
