Daniel Island man wins Maserati after hitting hole-in-one at Kiawah Island Club Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A Daniel Island man won a brand new Maserati after hitting a hole-in-one at the Kiawah Island Club 2015 Men's Invitational on Friday.

Juan Acevedo won the 2015 Maserati Ghibli from the event sponsored by Baker Motor Company who displayed the car at the 17th hole of the River Course as the grand prize.

110 Kiawah Island Club members and their guests, 55 teams of two, participated in the member guest tournament that started on Thursday.

Acevedo, a guest at the tournament, will be receiving a two year pre-paid lease for the 2015 Maserati Ghibli that is valued at $80,000.

"The luxury vehicle features a sport package with front and rear performance tires; a fuel efficient state of the art engine; elegantly stitched leather interior and touch control dashboard: driver and passenger power seating; and a sun roof and moon roof, among other premier features," stated a press release on the event.

Juan Acevedo said, "I'm thrilled that Baker Motor Company was a hole in one sponsor of this event. I'm thankful I had the opportunity to participate and honored to be the winner of this vehicle. I would also like to thank the staff at Kiawah Island Club for putting on such an incredible first class event."

It has been almost 10 years since anyone has won a hole-in-one vehicle from Baker Motor Company.

Baker Motor Company General Sales Manager, AJ Geffert, said, "We are so excited that Juan was the winner of our 2015 Maserati Ghibli. He is already a client of ours, so it's a privilege to be able to put him in a new vehicle he has never driven before."

Baker Motor Company will also gift an official Maserati car care kit and the Maserati Century of History coffee table book for Acevedo when he drives away in his new vehicle.
