North Charleston Most Wanted fugitive captured by US Marshals near Seattle

SEATTLE, WA (WCSC) - A Live 5 Most Wanted fugitive sought for an attempted murder charge was captured by US Marshals on Monday near Seattle.

The US Marshals Task Force arrested 26-year-old Christopher R. Davis and charged him with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

NCPD investigators say they received information that Davis was in Seattle.

Agents with the US Marshals office then located Davis in Kent, Washington and took him into custody. Davis is expected to be transported back to North Charleston.

Davis was wanted for an incident on Feb. 20 when officers responded to the Hess Express on 5777 Dorchester Road for a report of a person shot in the parking lot.

Authorities located a man, who had been shot in his stomach, lying on the ground outside the front door of the store.

According to an NCPD report, the victim was uncooperative, refusing to tell him his name or anything about the incident.

While on scene, North Charleston investigators say the victim's girlfriend arrived and was also uncooperative, but told police the victim's identity.

Officers say surveillance video showed the victim getting into a struggle with a unknown male subject in the parking lot.

A police report states as the two struggled towards a red colored two-door vehicle, the victim broke free and staggered to the front of the store where he laid on the ground until first responders arrived.

NCPD officials say the other person then fled the scene in a red vehicle, which did appear to have at least two other occupants inside.
