CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker hired his first two staffers in South Carolina.
The two-term Republican Governor is seriously mulling a run for the Republican nomination for President.
For several months, Dan Tripp, the President of Ground Game Strategies, has helped establish a ground game for a possible Walker campaign in South Carolina.
Tripp is a former South Carolina lawmaker who has worked on Presidential campaigns in the past.
Mike Lukach is also joining “Our American Revival.” The group promotes Gov. Walker as he travels the country, gauging support for a possible Presidential run.
Lukach most recently worked as Stewart Mills' Campaign Manager. Mills ran against Democratic Rep. Rick Nolan (MN-08) last year. Mills lost by one percentage point in a heavily Democratic Congressional District in Northern Minnesota.
Gov. Walker is expected to visit Greenville, South Carolina this weekend.
