DD2: School bus involved in minor hit and run

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Dorchester School District Two officials say a school bus was involved in an accident late Friday afternoon.

According to district spokesperson Pat Raynor, no students were injured in the crash, which happened right in front of Ashley Ridge High School.

Parents received a note from the school notifying them of the crash.

"Today, after school, one of our buses transporting students home was involved in a minor hit and run traffic accident," the email states. "The bus was rear-ended by vehicle that left the scene."

School officials said Durham Transportation reported to the scene and provided an alternative bus to transport students home.

Police are involved with the hit and run investigation, the email states.
