Winestock Music Fest brings 'spirited' family fun to local vineyard

WADMALAW ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Irvin House Vineyards and Firefly Distillery, Charleston's domestic vineyard and winery, is reviving the spirit of Woodstock with their own kind of spirits.

On Saturday, the Winestock Music Festival will take place from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. The event is located at 6775 Bears Bluff Road on Wadmalaw Island.

Winestock invites guests for a day of wine tasting, live music, food from local vendors, and entertainment for kids. For those who like to dress up, there will be "Best Hippie" and "Best Little Hippie" costume contests, with prizes from the Vineyards.

Admission is $5 for adults. Children are admitted free.

Tastings are $6 for six of 26 flavors of Firefly spirits, and $5 for tastes of five wines. Attendees will receive complimentary glasses.

Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to listen to music from under the trees.

Music performers include Danielle Howle, BYOG and Rawberry Jam.

Cash and credit will be accepted for wine tastings, wine by the bottle, and food from Chucktown Mobile Seafood, Korki's Kafe, Linen's BBQ, King of Pops, Old Salt Gourmet Pretzels, and Sweet Lulu's Bakery.
