CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -  Additional arrests have been made in connection to the murder of Kedena Brown that took place on May 10. On Friday evening, North Charleston Police arrested Richard D. Simmons, 20, of North Charleston.

Reports state he has been charged with four counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Nigeia Tamika Brown, 24, was arrested on Thursday and charged with Obstruction of Justice, a report states. NCPD officials say that Nigeia Brown willfully provide false and misleading statements to investigators regarding the 16 year old juvenile who was also arrested and charged with murder this week.

The juvenile has been charged with four counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He is currently in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.

According to officials, Richard D. Simmons was taken into custody at the Charleston International Airport where he had been located outside the Rental Car Pavilion.

A bond hearing for Simmons is expected for this evening. Authorities say that several other individuals accompanied Simmons inside the vehicle from which shots were fired, resulting in Kedena Brown's death.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
