NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Boeing is introducing a new jet at Charleston International Airport, but this one is only visible from the skies.
The airplane shape was built into a new retention pond near the airport. The retention pond serves as a baffle for incoming storm water.
According to Boeing's Facebook page, the plane design wasn't the original plan.
But Boeing says the design team noticed the pond was naturally taking the shape of a plane, so they "just went with it" and built it to look like one.
