CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The works of several Lowcountry artists are featured on a ceiling display at a new downtown Charleston restaurant set to open this weekend.

Ruth's Chris Steak House on 55 South Market Street at the French Quarter Inn will open on Sunday and feature an art collection at the restaurant's bar/lounge area by artists from the Lowcountry Artists Gallery.

The restaurant recently released a timelapse video showing what went into putting all the art pieces onto the ceiling.

One of those pieces, an oil painting of three boats, was painted by Joyce Harvey who's delighted with the idea of having her painting featured on the ceiling.

"Everyone in the gallery was simply thrilled that we were chosen as the exclusive provider of art for this unique project," said Harvey a Charleston oil painter."We are simply overjoyed with the results and thrilled the restaurant guests will be surrounded by the beauty of the Lowcountry created by our artists."
