GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Goose Creek police arrested a Goose Creek man in connection with the robbery of a pharmacy after receiving a tip from the man's wife who recognized him in a surveillance still.

Roddy Lee Russell, 36, faces charges of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with the robbery of the St. James Avenue CVS. Police say Russell entered the pharmacy at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Saturday and robbed the pharmacy at knifepoint. He left the pharmacy with approximately four bottles of prescription drugs, according to investigators.

Over the weekend, police released a still from surveillance footage showing a man wearing a black hat with a White Sox logo, red hoodie and sweatpants.

Police say they received a tip from Russell's wife after she saw the photo on local media.

Russell surrendered to police on Sunday.

He was being held at the Berkeley County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
