CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Veterans are encouraged to apply for the first class of Metanoia Fellows.
Although veterans are encouraged to apply, the Fellows program is open to everyone.
The two-year Metanoia Fellows program is a paid position. Veterans and others chosen for the program will learn advanced community organizing, transformational leadership, fundraising ,and organizational development.
Under the leadership of the Metanoia community development program, those who have served our country in the armed services can help build neighborhoods.
They will do so by focusing on the strengths and abilities that already exist in communities.
Fellows will earn $21,000 the first year and $23,500 the second year. A $2,500 bonus will be paid to Fellows who work in the Charleston Promise Neighborhood Footprint, six months after their Fellow opportunity ends.
The deadline to apply is June 15.
