CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County School District will interview the three finalists for the district's superintendent position beginning the week of June 22.
The interview schedule released Friday states each candidate interview will consist of school building tours and meetings with various district staffers. The schedule also includes public receptions in which each candidate will be introduced.
The receptions are being held at 75 Calhoun St. in Charleston:
- June 22: 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Candidate Dr. Gerrita Postlewait, Asst. Vice President, ACT, Iowa City, Iowa.
- June 23: 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Candidate Dr. Lisa N. Herring, Deputy Supt. for CCSD.
- June 24: 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Candidate Dr. Terri L. Breeden, Asst. Supt., Department of Instruction for Loudoun Co. Public Schools in Virginia.
The superintendent position became vacant following the resignation of Dr. Nancy McGinley in October 2014.
