CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly collision that happened in Berkeley County around 2:40 a.m., killing the driver.
Troopers report that the driver of a Chevy Corvette was driving down highway SC-41 and ran off the roadway, hitting several trees.
Officials say that a passenger was not wearing a seat belt, and was thrown from the vehicle.
The passenger has been taken to MUSC to be treated, authorities say.
The driver's name has not yet been released from the coroner's office.
