Prayer vigils to be held honoring victims of Emanuel AME shooting

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Prayer vigils will be held at the following locations in honor of the nine individuals who lost their lives in the shooting that took place at Emanuel AME Church on Wednesday night:

Unity of Charleston

2535 Leeds Ave, Charleston (Near intersection of Dorchester and Leeds)

Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m.

This interfaith prayer service will begin with the ringing of the singing bowl, concurrent with the church bells being rung throughout the city. Speakers are expected to include Hindu, Muslim, Interfaith, Buddhist and Christian faith members.

Located on the corner of Lee and Meeting Streets in Charleston
