CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The family of Cynthia Ann Hurd, one of the victims of the Charleston shooting will be holding a press conference Friday afternoon.
The presser will be held along with representatives at the Charleston County Public Library at 4:30 p.m. at the main Library on 68 Calhoun Street.
"Cynthia was one of nine victims slain Wednesday in a senseless shooting at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C.," stated a press release by the Charleston County Public Library."A lifelong Charleston resident, she touched thousands of lives in her 31 years with Charleston County Public Library, most recently serving as manager of the St. Andrews Regional Library."
"To honor our co-worker and all those lost, CCPL's 16 locations closed Thursday. The St. Andrews Regional Library, where Cynthia served as manager since 2011, and the John L. Dart Branch, which she managed from 1990-2011, remain closed today."
