Viewings set Thursday for Sen. Clementa Pinckney

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two viewings will be held Thursday for Sen. Clementa Pinckney, who was among the nine killed during a shooting at Emanuel AME Church on June 17.

The first of two public viewings for Pinckney, pastor of Emanuel AME Church, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John AME Church in Ridgeland.

The second viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Emanuel AME Church on Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston.

His funeral will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at TD Arena on the College of Charleston campus.

The casket of the state senator was taken via horse-drawn carriage through Columbia Wednesday on its way to the State House. A public viewing was held from 1-5 p.m. in the rotunda lobby of the South Carolina Capitol.
