Daimler Vans Manufacturing announced on Thursday a donation of $25,000 to the Reverend Clementa Pinckney Fund to help the families of the recent church shooting victims in Charleston.

“We share the grief of the families and friends of the victims of the Mother Emanuel AME Church shooting. Daimler Vans is honored to be a part of the Charleston community which has shown great strength, faith and love during and after this terrible tragedy,” said Marco Wirtz, CEO of Daimler Vans Manufacturing.

“In the face of this tragic event, Charleston has set an example for the entire nation to follow and we are proud to call Charleston home. As we Stand With Charleston, Daimler Vans Manufacturing is pleased to donate to the Palmetto Project's Reverend Clementa Pinckney Fund. We are steadfast in our pledge to support and serve this wonderful community,” Wirtz continued. “Over the coming days, weeks, and months, the victims' families and friends will remain in our thoughts and prayers as we all begin the healing process.”
