Another lowcountry company is contributing financially in the aftermath of the mass shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church.
The InterTech Group, and the Zucker Family, announced they are gifting $75,000 towards the creation of an endowed scholarship. According to a press release, the annual scholarship is intended to assist African American students in the community, especially members of Mother Emanuel AME Church.
Nine people were shot to death at Mother Emanuel AME Church in downtown Charleston on June 17th.
The InterTech Group describes itself as a family-owned holding company based in North Charleston.
