CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County School Board will be holding a special meeting on Thursday to talk about who will be the new superintendent.
Earlier this month, three finalists interviewed with the board and met with the community.
The three candidates are Dr. Terri Breeden, the assistant superintendent for Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia; Dr. Lisa Herring, deputy superintendent for Charleston County schools and Dr. Gerrita Postlewait, the former Horry County superintendent who now works for ACT testing.
Due to the tragedy at Emanuel AME Church, the board decided to wait to make a decision until all services were done.
That meeting will be at 8 a.m. on Thursday at the school board headquarters on Calhoun Street.
