NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities say a 35-year-old man who was taken into custody following a standoff in North Charleston is wanted for attempted murder.

Reynaldo Singleton surrendered to police and US marshals after he barricaded himself at a home on Poplar Ridge Road near Cedar Ridge Road.

North Charleston police officials say they were in the process of serving a warrant out of Moncks Corner to Singleton when the incident began.

Authorities say Singleton eventually exited the home and was taken into custody.

Witnesses reported multiple police vehicles and a SWAT team in the area.

Moncks Corner police say Singleton is wanted for a shootout on June 15 at the Country Lane Apartments.

No one was injured in the incident.
