CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - It's going to be a hot, sunny weekend, and if you're looking for something to do, check out these great events taking place in the Lowcountry!
Summerville Farmer's Market
Come out to Summerville and pick out some fresh fruits and veggies for your Sunday dinner! The market features lots of baked goodies, meats and seafood! There will also be live music in the market cafe from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Brandon Simmons will be performing this week.
The market is located in the First Citizens Bank parking lot behind the Summerville Town Hall at 200 South Main Street. The event starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m.
Music in the Square
Go home and put your Farmers Market goodies away... Then get back to the town square for free food and live music! This Saturday, Christian rock band ABIDE ministries is hosting a free concert in Summerville's town square at 6:30 p.m.
The event features free food, drinks and toys for all the kids. The band will also give you a free cd while you're enjoying the music!
Second Sunday on King Street
Don't forget that this Sunday is the anticipated Second Sunday in downtown Charleston in the historic and charming shopping district on King Street. Second Sunday features music, food trucks, and fabulous shopping! King St. between Calhoun and Queen will be closed to make room for all the vendors and foot traffic.
Second Sunday begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
