NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a 30-year-old man who died following a shooting in North Charleston.
Authorities say Tyric Grant died early Friday morning.
North Charleston police have obtained warrants for murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime for Jermaine Eric Young.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment in the 5,700-block of N. Murray Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. Friday.
The victim had been shot several times and later died from his injuries, police say.
A witness positively identified Young as the shooter, and police say Young was seen leaving the area in a newer model four-door blue Jeep style vehicle.
Young is 6'3" tall, weighs 208 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo on his upper right arm and a second tattoo on his left bicep that reads, "Tru," according to police.
