The Dorchester County Coroner's Office has released the names of the woman and child killed in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 95 near St. George Sunday night.

The Coroner says the child, 11-year-old Juan Rebeira, died at the scene of the accident. Martha Gonzalez, 51, died of her injuries after being taken to the hospital.

Both victims are from Camden, New Jersey.

They were traveling with relatives down I-95 northbound near mile marker 77 around 9:45 p.m. when the vehicle went off the road, hit a guardrail, and then when into the embankment where it rolled over. The car was reported to be a 2002 Dodge Van.

Officials say Rebeira was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, who is not reported to be Martha Gonzalez, was said to be wearing a seat belt.

The other five other passengers were taken to MUSC, where Gonzalez passed away.

Highway patrol is investigating the accident.
