Mount Pleasant police hosting National Night Out on Aug. 4

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) -

The Mount Pleasant Police Department will be hosting National Night Out Against Crime on Aug. 4. 

“Officers will be set up in two locations this year. One at Edwards Park on Bank Street and one at the White Hall Community Center off Tower Road,” said Inspector Chip Googe. “The event will last from 6:00pm to 9:00pm ending with a walk through each of the respective neighborhoods.”

K-9 officers, bike team and patrol units will be on hand at the department's display, as well as fire trucks from the fire department. 

"There will be K-9 demonstrations, bicycle raffles, snow cones, a jump castle, pizza and drinks! Fingerprinting will also be available from New York Life Insurance," police officials say."The last hour of the event we will be walking through each of the respective neighborhoods to show how our communities and the Mount Pleasant Police Department are standing together to fight against crime."
