Charleston County deputies recovered three bullet casings from the scene of a drive-by shooting on James Island early Sunday morning.
Deputies responded to a home in the 1,700-block of North Grimball Road at approximately 1:20 a.m. to a report of shots fired at a car, according to an incident report.
A witness told police a tan pickup truck drove by her residence and fired several times at a Cadillac parked across from her home on the side of the road. A man inside the car at the time was able to escape and was not injured the report states.
Police found a bullet hole in the driver's side front quarter panel of the vehicle, police say.
No suspects have been identified and no motive has been established in the shooting, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson.
