Heavy rain and storms are likely for parts of the Lowcountry Friday afternoon and evening as a cold front slips into the area.
This front will stall over the region through Saturday with the threat of more scattered storms, according to Live 5 Meteorologist Justin Lock. Rain totals Friday and Saturday could total between one and two inches or more in isolated spots.
Severe weather and widespread flooding are not expected, but localized flooding will be possible, especially around high tide Friday at 8:55 p.m., Lock said.
The front should push offshore by Sunday, leading to a lesser threat for rain by the end of the weekend and into early next week.
