Summerville man pays off house, gives rest to charity after winning lottery

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -

A Summerville man who won $200,000 in the lottery last Monday says he has already spent his winnings.

“I paid off my house and gave the rest to charity,” the winner told lottery officials this week.

According to SC Lottery officials, the man cashed in the winning $10 Big Money scratch-off that he purchased from Sonny's Exxon #1 on Embassy Dr. in Summerville last Monday.

“The money’s gone,” he reminisced.  “And I can’t wait to win again.”

"One top prize of $200,000 remains in the $10 Big Money game, at odds of 1 in 600,000," officials said. "For selling the claimed ticket, Sonnys Exxon #1 in Summerville received a commission of $2,000."
