Man in custody after Orangeburg Co. shooting sends three to the hospital

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A 28-year-old man is in custody in connection to a Sunday night shooting in Orangeburg County that sent three people to the hospital.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office says Keon Rivers of Vance has been charged with three counts of attempted murder.

A bond hearing is set for Tuesday afternoon.  

Authorities say at around 7:40 p.m. on Sunday deputies were notified that shots had been fired at a home about four miles west of Santee on Old Humber Six Highway.

"A 27-year-old resident of the home and a 25-year-old resident were taken by air ambulance to a hospital," officials say."Both of the men suffered two gunshot wounds."

According to the sheriff's office, a third man was driven in a personal vehicle to another medical facility where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.

Investigators say the condition of the victims is unknown.

The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation.
