MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A new growth management plan for the town of Mt. Pleasant will be unveiled Thursday afternoon.
The Urban Land Institute will release the plan during a public meeting at the Cooper River Room at Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park.
The institute was contracted by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce to do the two day study of growth in the town.
The largest issue concerns the town's new zoning that allows for more development on Coleman Boulevard and areas close to the Ravenel Bridge.
Today's meeting starts at 5 p.m.
