CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A 9-year-old boy has been returned to his mother six months after he was abducted to Mexico by his stepfather.

The Leaf-Chronicle reports (http://leafne.ws/1LdLQoB) William King, of Clarksville, won temporary custody of the child by falsely claiming the mother tried to prostitute the boy through a Craigslist ad.

After police determined King had placed the ad to frame the mother, King took the boy from school and fled.

In an email to the paper last month King claimed he is the boy's biological father and was protecting his son.

King was captured Thursday on the outskirts of Mexico City. He was flown to Atlanta where Tennessee authorities were expected to pick him up Monday.

The boy was flown to Bluffton, South Carolina, where he was reunited with his mother Friday.
