CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Forecasters are watching a system they say is likely to develop into our next named storm.
The system is showing signs of circulation, is becoming more symmetrical and rotation, according to Live 5 Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh.
The National Hurricane Center says there is a 70 percent chance the storm will develop into a tropical weather system, possibly a tropical depression, over the next five days.
The system is located several hundred miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands.
In the event the system develops into a tropical storm, it would become the fourth named storm of the season and would be called Danny.
