Teen denied bond for March murder

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Friday a Charleston teen was denied bond after being charged with a murder that happened months ago.

Davontay Bryant is accused of killed Brandon Washington on March 23.

Police say Washington got into a fight with Bryant and two other men, Tequan Perry and Devin Middleton. Police say Bryant pushed Washington and Washington went to a side yard of a building.

It was then police say Perry shot Washington once. Officers say Middleton and Bryant shouted quote "Finish it, finish it" before Perry shot Washington multiple times, killing him.

Washington's family spoke during the bond court hearing.

"I serve a forgiving God, and I'm going to have to forgive him, too, but he's going to have to answer for what he did to my boy,” Washington’s mother said to Bryant. “That was uncalled for. I forgive you Davontay."

Perry and Middleton have also been charged with murder.

Perry had an additional charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
