ISLE OF PALMS, SC (WCSC) - "Southern Style", "Led Me Here To This", and more of Darius Rucker's top hits could be heard at The Windjammer Wednesday night on the Isle of Palms.
Rucker rocked his southern style in a University of South Carolina Gamecocks hat as he was in town to tape a Country Music Television special.
The crowd at The Windjammer was feeling more than "Alright" as they had a chance to take part in the taped CMT Instant Jam episode.
Roughly 400 people were able to get in with special wristbands after Rucker tweeted out Wednesday morning where they would handed out this morning.
"We got in line at the Cistern, and we were some of the last people to get wristbands, and thought, well we gotta be the first people at the Windjammer, so we made up for it," said Haley Mae Campbell.
"They had two lines and within ten minutes they had given out the wristbands," said Katie Mirsky.
It's the first concert for the second season of the show on CMT.
Kenny Chesney and Florida Georgia Line took part in the exclusive concerts in the past.
For Rucker, this taping fit in well with his "Southern Style" tour schedule.
He has a show in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday.
Meanwhile, people from the Lowcountry and even out of state could be seen singing along as the sun went down.
Kent Dockus is in Charleston for the weekend for a music event.
He says he's a huge fan, but hasn't had the chance to see Rucker in concert... until now.
"This is actually my first Darius Rucker concert," said Dockus. "I was supposed to see him back in Cleveland, then I was here doing some shows, so I didn't really have the chance. So this beats it, definitely!"
During the concert Rucker told his fans one of the reasons he chose the venue was because of the beach and the intimate setting.
"It's great, we're really excited about it," Campbell said.
For those at the concert, many said it's a night they will probably always think about.
Rucker's episode of Instant Jam will air on CMT September 5 at 10:00 ET.
