NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A man has been arrested in the case of the shooting death of Tra'Quan R. Singleton, 17, on Irving Avenue on July 18.
Joshua Lee Frazier, 28, has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
On August 27, the North Charleston Police department, Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Summerville Police, and the United States Marshals Service responded to Pigeon Bay Road in reference to locating Frazier.
Authorities say Frazier had multiple warrants with other agencies, including S.C. Probation and Parole and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Frazier was found inside an apartment, and surrendered to authorities without incident after being called out by the Marshals Service, officials say.
Frazier was lodged at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
He is expected to appear in bond court on Friday morning.
On July 18, North Charleston police responded at 3 a.m. to reports of a shooting on Irving Street.
Authorities say multiple household members were running around in the front yard while several officers were shouting for assistance inside the house.
One victim lying on the couch stated he had been shot in the back, a report states, and officers observed he was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers located Singleton at the top of the stairs slumped over. Officers attempted to aid Singleton, who was reported as unresponsive and possibly deceased before EMS arrived on the scene.
