RAVENEL, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies say they have arrested a man on kidnapping and sexual assault charges after an abduction Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say it happened just after 2 p.m. on the 5500 block of Ellington School Road.
Deputies say the suspect, Gussie Hilton Jr., was asked to take a mother and her 13 year old daughter to Wal-Mart.
Instead of taking the victims to Wal-Mart, authorities say the suspect made a detour to Ellington School Road, where he threatened both victims with a knife and forced the 13-year-old into the woods and sexually assaulted her.
Officials say the mother was able to run to a nearby house and call police.
Deputies arrived on the scene and were able to locate the suspect and the 13-year-old victim in the woods.
The suspect was then taken into custody.
The suspect also told deputies that his 6-year-old cousin was back at his house on Martin Street, where he was also sexually assaulted that day.
All the victims were taken to MUSC for treatment.
Gussie Hilton, Jr. is currently being held in the Sheriff Cannon Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
He will be charged with three counts of kidnapping, and two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree.
