Report: Gas prices dropping in SC

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Gas prices here in South Carolina have dropped 8.8 cents per gallon in the past week, according to GasBuddy.com’s daily survey of 3,028 gas outlets in the state.

The average price around the state on Sunday was $2.01 per gallon, according to the survey.

Gas Buddy says the national average has fallen 12.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.47. It says Sunday’s prices are $1.14 per gallon cheaper than this time last year, and 26.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

The survey also found the national average has decreased 19.5 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 96.4 cents per gallon lower year to year.
