WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A 29-year-old Kingstree man has surrendered to authorities in connection to a night club shooting that injured one person.

El Ahmad Seward turned himself over to the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday and was charged with attempted murder.

Seward's arrest stems from a shooting at the Mingles Night Club in Kingstree on Aug. 30.

The victim in the shooting was transported to an area hospital and has since been released.

Following the shooting, the sheriff's office says an extensive manhunt began throughout the county for the suspect.

"Based on information developed at the scene and through the investigation, investigations obtained arrest warrants for the suspect," officials said.

Seward is expected to appear before a Williamsburg County Magistrate.

He will remain at the Williamsburg County Detention Center until a bond hearing can be scheduled.
