CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two of the three abortion clinics in South Carolina are in jeopardy of losing their licenses after a warning from the Department of Health and Environmental Control.
DHEC has warned Planned Parenthood clinics in Columbia and Greenville, citing multiple violations including incomplete records, expired medicines, and improperly disposed of medical waste.
The clinics have until Sept. 28 to fix the problems before they would be forced to closed.
They also reviewed the Charleston Women's Medical Center and found four minor violations.
Attorney General Alan Wilson says he's reviewing the findings with state law enforcement to decide if he will start a criminal investigation.
The investigation was requested by Gov. Nikki Haley, after undercover footage showed planned parenthood employees talking about selling fetal tissue.
