CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The ninth annual National Day of Remembrance for murder victims will be held on Friday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
The event will be at the Lonnie Hamilton Public Service Building on 4045 Bridge View Drive in Council chambers in North Charleston.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office provided the following information for the event:
"The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims, September 25, 2015, provides an opportunity for the people of the United States to honor the memories of murder victims and to recognize the impact on surviving family members and loved ones. The Survivors of Homicide Support Group, a collaborative program between the Charleston County Sheriff's Office of Victim Assistance and the Medical University of SC Crime Victims Center, meets four times per month in the tri-county area. Call 744-2250 or 792-2945 for additional information. Please come out and support those impacted by the murder of their loved ones."
