Investigators have charged a 23-year-old woman accused of filing a false police report regarding stolen property.

Charleston police charged Kiyonna Robinson for an incident that happened on Aug. 22 when Robinson told officers that four rims and four tires were stolen from her vehicle which was parked in front of her apartment.

"During the investigation, a detective secured video from a City of Charleston Safety and Security camera that showed the rims and tires being removed from the vehicle," police officials say.

According to investigators, the video shows a man getting out of a pickup truck with paperwork in his hand, walk around Robinson’s vehicle, retrieve a floor jack from the pickup truck and then remove the rims and tires.

Police say the video also shows a woman who approached the man and spoke with him while he removed the rims and tires.

"At about 11:00 that morning, the same woman is observed in the video speaking with a Charleston Police officer and reporting the items had been stolen," police officials said.

The investigation revealed the rims and tires, that were valued at about $1,500, were repossessed by a business in North Charleston for nonpayment, police say.
