Timberland High School evacuated due to bomb threat

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Berkeley County School District officials say Timberland High School was evacuated due to a reported bomb threat.

According to officials, the evacuation happened at 2:10 p.m. as a precautionary measure. 

"Law enforcement officials and the fire department are on the scene to investigate the threat and inspect the building," officials said."All students, faculty and staff are safe."

At 3:26 p.m, BCSD officials announced that the school had been cleared, and all students and staff have re-entered the building. 

Last week the school was evacuated for a reported bomb threat, and was cleared. 

A bomb threat was also reported at the school in May.
