Missing man's car found abandoned, burnt in Dorchester County

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators say a missing Charleston County man's vehicle was found abandoned and burnt in Dorchester County. 

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office says a 2003 blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo known to be driven by 33-year-old Nathaniel Anderson was found on Grace Lane and Highway 78 on Sept. 7 by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies have been searching for Anderson who was last seen by his family on Parkers Ferry Road in Adams Run on Sept. 6. 

"Currently, our detectives are actively working in concert with detectives from the Dorchester county Sheriff's Office, and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office in locating Anderson," read a statement by the sheriff's office released on Tuesday."At this stage we can't rule out foul play as being involved in the disappearance."

The sheriff's office says Anderson who goes by the name of "Punch" and "Punchy," suffers from asthma and requires medical attention.

Anderson is 5'4" in height, weighs 140 pounds, and has a mole under his left eye.
