BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Six teenagers from Moncks Corner are behind bars accused of break-ins and burglaries.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Donoven J. Hamilton, 18-year-old Thadeous T. Rawls, 17-year-old Tiger R. Singletary, 17-year-old Austin R. Driggers, 17-year-old Devin L. Stacy and a 16-year-old male juvenile.
The arrests stem from six car break-ins and two burglaries that were reported between Sept. 12 and Sept. 15 in Pinopolis and Moncks Corner.
"When apprehended, all of the suspects were in possession of stolen property," BCSO officials said."All of the suspects are believe to be connected but the motive for the string of burglaries and break-ins isn't certain."
Sheriff Duane Lewis said more arrests are expected, and the investigation has been a joint effort with Moncks Corner police who have had similar incidents in their area.
Rawls, Hamilton and Driggers face charges of third-degree burglary. Driggers and Stacy face charges of first-degree burglary. Rawls, Singletary and the 16 year old juvenile face charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
