Several meetings set to discuss Dorchester District Two attendance lines

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Proposed attendance line changes have been developed in preparation for the 2016 opening of Dorchester School District 2 new schools.

As part of the process of changing attendance lines, seven public meetings will be held. 

The meetings  will allow parents and community members to hear first hand about all changes being proposed and provide input on the plans. 

The seventh meeting is scheduled to present the final proposal ,before the proposed plan is presented to the Board of Trustees for consideration and action at the December 14, 2015 board meeting.

Thursday, October 8th         6:30 p.m.        Fort Dorchester Elementary School

Thursday, October 22nd        6:30 p.m.        Pye Elementary School

Monday, November 2nd        6:30 p.m.        Summerville High School

Thursday, November 5th      6:30 p.m.        William M. Reeves, Jr. Elementary School

Thursday, November 12th    6:30 p.m.        Beech Hill Elementary School

Monday, November 16th       6:30 p.m.        Rollings Middle School of the Arts

Monday, December 7th       6:30 p.m.           Summerville High School – Finalized Proposal           

Monday, December 14th       6:00 p.m.        Board Meeting—Presentation of Proposed Plan

*Thursday, November 19th is scheduled as an alternate meeting date, if necessary.
