Recaro recalls more than 173,000 child seats

Recaro Child Safety is recalling more than 173,000 car seats in the U.S. because the top tether can detach from the seat in a crash.

It affects Proride and Performance ride seats made before June 9, 2015. The company says it will send owners new webbing with instructions on how to secure the seats.

No injuries have been reported.

You can order a fix Kit by visiting recaropromotion.com/RIDErecallSept2015. You will have to enter your model number and manufacture date of your child restraint.
