NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A fire at a North Charleston home has displaced a family of three.
The fire happened at a home on the 2600 block of Olympia Street just before 1 p.m.
North Charleston Fire Department officials say an alert neighbor called 911 to report smoke coming from a single story home.
When firefighters arrived they reported smoke and flames were visible from a window at the front of the home.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family affected by the fire. The cause is under investigation.
