CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Gas prices continue to fall nationwide according to the latest numbers from AAA.

In the Lowcountry, gasoline is selling for as low as $1.76 per gallon at a Dorchester Road gas station in North Charleston.

AAA said prices at the pump fell another four cents per gallon last week, dropping the national average to $2.29 per gallon for regular unleaded.

Prices are typically at their lowest during fall and winter months because demand is down, the auto club says.
