CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two suspected drug dealers are behind bars after investigators found guns, drugs and money at a home in West Ashley.
The Charleston Police Department charged 24-year-old Cary Stephens and 22-year-old Joshua Grampus with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute and possession of a stolen handgun.
The charges stem from a search warrant that was executed at a home on Carnegie Avenue on Friday by the Charleston PD Special Investigations Unit and SWAT team.
"Officers confiscated two handguns, one of them reported stolen from North Charleston, 256 grams of marijuana, 3 grams of cocaine base and more than $2,300 in cash," CPD officials said.
Both men were locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
"An investigation by members of the Special Investigations Unit provided evidence that narcotic activity was occurring at the residence," CPD officials say.
Police are continuing the investigation.
