DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities are searching for a missing Bamberg County man who has not been seen since late Friday night.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is looking for 39-year-old Charles Glenn Bishop Jr. of Ehrhardt.

On Sunday, Dorchester County authorities were contacted by Bishop's mother who said her son had not been seen or heard of since Friday.

She told deputies she picked up Bishop's children from his home in Bamberg County on Friday, and spoke to him by phone and that he told her he would see her when she brought the children home that Sunday. But on Sunday when she returned to drop the kids off, she said Bishop was not home.

Calls to Bishop's cell phone go straight to voicemail, according to the incident report. The woman then called Bishop's girlfriend who said he was missing and she last spoke with him Friday evening, the report states.

Bishop's mother says it is very unlike her son to not call or show up when she brings his children back home from the Dorchester County area, the report states.

Deputies contacted Bishop's girlfriend who said she last spoke with him at approximately 8:10 p.m. Friday and said Bishop said he was not feeling well and was going to meet a friend before heading back home, the report states. She told deputies Bishop told her he would be leaving within the next 30 minutes.

That friend told authorities Bishop came by his house Friday evening and said he was not feeling well. He said Bishop said he was feeling better at around 11 p.m. and left to go home. However, the report states the friend noticed Bishop rode off on his motorcycle toward Walterboro, not Bamberg, where his home is.

Anyone with information should call the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office at (843) 832-0300 or the Bamberg County Sheriff's Office at (803) 245-3011.
